A scientific and practical conference on “Heydar Aliyev and the History of Azerbaijan" was held in the Executive Power of Baku

A scientific and practical conference on the results of the traditional essay contest among schoolchildren of the capital on the topic “Heydar Aliyev and the History of Azerbaijan”, organized jointly by the Executive Power of Baku and the Ministry of Education for the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, was held in the Executive Power of Baku. The conference was attended by the authority of the Executive Power of Baku city, the Baku City Education Department, schoolchildren elected as winners of conferences in the districts of the capital, their scientific supervisors, representatives of the executive power of the districts of the capital and the media.

At the beginning of the event, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom and territorial integrity of our Motherland.

Welcoming the participants of the conference, the head of the Executive Power of the city of Baku Eldar Azizov, noted that today Azerbaijan is rapidly developing, occupies an important place among the countries of the world. This is based on the policy laid down by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the activities of our esteemed President Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that at conferences held in the districts of the capital, students presented their scientific articles about the periods of the history of Azerbaijan, from the Stone Age to the present day, including the role of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the history of Azerbaijan. This year, a special place in the competition was given to topics dedicated to the glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

At the conference, organized by the students themselves, the reports of young researchers were heard.

Speaking at the conference, the head of the Baku City Education Department Mehriban Veliyeva and others noted that over the years, the greatness and inexhaustible legacy of the National Leader is becoming more deeply realized, the place and role of the genius of Heydar Aliyev in the history of Azerbaijan is revealed, the essence of his unprecedented services to the people and the state is enriched.

It was noted at the conference that this competition, which increases the interest of schoolchildren in a deeper study of the history of Azerbaijan, has a traditional character and thousands of schoolchildren take part in it every year. Already this year, more than 300 schools and more than 2,500 Baku students took part in the competition with their abstracts. 60 abstracts will be selected by the commission and included in a new book to be published with the support of the Baku City Executive Authority.
