A tree planting action was held in the capital in connection with the Memorial Day
On the occasion of September 27 – Memorial Day, a large-scale tree planting action was held in the area along Mammad Araz and Ashig Molla Juma streets in the Narimanov District of the capital with the joint Organization of Baku city Executive Power, “Regional Development” Public Union (RIIB) and the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan (AKTI). The action was attended by employees of the Executive Power, employees of structural divisions, volunteers of the public union and members of the AKTI.
Within the framework of the action, the territory was cleared of useless waste, 500 pine trees were planted in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula, a drip irrigation system was installed, as well as persons responsible for future care of trees were identified.
The new greenery laid out in order to perpetuate the cherished memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of our lands will contribute to the improvement of the ecological situation and further beautification of the appearance of the territory.
