Another Cleanup Day Held in Baku
With the arrival of the autumn season and to further improve the capital's sanitary and cleanliness conditions, the Baku City Executive Power carried out another large-scale cleanup and landscaping campaign in the city on Saturday, September 12.
Starting from the morning hours, the capital's main streets and avenues, as well as neighborhood and side roads, were washed using special equipment of public utilities services with cleaning agents that do not harm plants and living organisms.
During the cleanup work, sidewalks, curbs, light poles, railings, benches in parks and recreation areas were washed, and cleanup and tidying work was carried out in courtyards and residential blocks. At the same time, the display windows of public catering, commercial, and other facilities were cleaned, and landscaping work was performed in their surrounding areas.
In connection with the season, employees of the Baku City Greening Farm Association provided agrotechnical care for trees and greenery along streets and avenues, washed trees, and pruned dried branches. As part of preventive measures, diseased and dried trees were removed, and the planting of new trees suitable for Baku's climate continued in their place. Seasonal colorful flowers were planted in the city's parks, gardens, and other green areas, creating various decorative compositions.
The cleaning, landscaping, and greening measures covering all districts of the capital will be continued in the future.
