Another renovated courtyard within the framework of the "Our Yard" project has been put into use by residents
On July 17, with the participation of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Founder and Head of IDEA Public Union, a courtyard in the Yeni Gunashli "AB" residential area of Baku city, Surakhani district, where more than 3,500 residents live, was renovated and put into use by residents.
As in other areas renovated within the framework of the "Our Courtyard" project, the next courtyard, reconstructed, took into account the comfortable movement of people with disabilities, and in order to create favorable conditions for the development of children of all age groups, effectively organize the leisure time of young people and increase their interest in sports, an artificial turf football field, a chess field, various sports facilities, and a playground for children were built in the area. At the same time, chats, numerous seats, bird nests and cat houses were installed in the courtyard. New lighting poles, surveillance cameras were installed in the courtyard, the facades and blocks of buildings were completely renovated, asphalt and roofing, and power lines were renewed.
In addition to the restoration of the existing greenery in the courtyard, various types of trees and seasonal flowers, as well as shrubs, were planted to create a green belt. In addition, in order to prevent air pollution and densely growing plants, common ivy and other climbing plants were planted around the courtyard, creating “green barriers”.
For your information, the “Our Yard” project has been implemented since 2017 at the initiative of the founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva. The main goal of the project is to make courtyards in the capital ecologically clean and well-groomed, restore greenery, form a meaningful recreational environment, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents. To date, 159 common residential areas have been renovated and put into use by residents within the framework of the “Our Yard” project.
