As reported, on July 11, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived on a state visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This visit is of historical importance in terms of further strengthening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan and comprehensively expanding cooperation in all areas. During the visit, documents covering various areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan were signed.
At the signing ceremony, in the presence of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif.
The Chairman of Islamabad Capital Development Authority Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Head of Baku City Executive Power Eldar Azizov exchanged the copies of the "Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of fraternal relations between the city of Baku (Republic of Azerbaijan) and the city of Islamabad (Islamic Republic of Pakistan)".
