Central Botanical Garden restoration and repair projects are almost finished.
By the order of the president of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev, major repair and reconstruction works have begun in the Central Botanical Garden with an area of 46 hectares since last year. The administrative building of the garden, built in 1937, was overhauled, and the administrative building of the Botanical Institute, located on the territory of the park, was demolished and rebuilt. A modern type of Orangerie has been built in the park, the Orangerie is equipped with heating, cooling and quenching equipment. A lake complex, greenhouses for various rare plant species around the world have been built on the territory. A 3-meter-high bridge for the disabled and a pedestrian path connecting both entrance gates have been built.
At the moment, the work in the park is nearing completion. In order to complete the work in a short time, with quality, additional labor has been involved, and the implementation of Green Works is monitored by experienced landscape designers and environmental specialists. The commissioning of the central Botanical Garden is planned at the end of the month.
