Consultation in Binaqadi: The Work of Services Criticized

Recently, one of the most problematic areas in the capital regarding sanitary and cleaning issues has been the Binaqadi district. A broad consultation was held at the Binaqadi District Executive Power with the leadership of the Baku City and Binaqadi District Executive Power, heads of the district's communal and economic services, and representatives of local municipalities to address the problems in sanitary and cleaning matters and the integration of the district into the solid waste collection, transportation, and sorting project carried out in Baku city.
In the consultation, Eldar Azizov, the head of the Baku City Executive Power, spoke about the project implemented over the past 5 years in the capital. He noted that, thanks to the attention and care of the country’s President, the material and technical base of communal services has strengthened in recent years. It was emphasized that due to the President’s policies, the standard of living has improved, leading people to take better care of their cities. As a result, the cleanliness of Baku city is now pleasing to the eye.
It was noted that although there are positive changes and improvements in the cleanliness and landscaping work carried out by the head of the district executive authority in Binaqadi, the overall state of sanitary issues remains inadequate. Consequently, the district leadership and the work of communal services were severely criticized. Considering the problems observed in the district, it was decided to implement the solid waste collection, transportation, and sorting project within the territory of Binaqadi.
During the consultation, reports from representatives of the district’s settlements and administrative areas were heard, they were given a serious warning, and a specific deadline was set for resolving the problems in their respective areas.
It was noted that as a result of measures taken in the communal sector in recent years, our capital city, Baku, has become a very clean and well-maintained city, and this project continues in 8 districts of the capital. The implementation of this project in Binaqadi district will start soon. In Binaqadi, as in other districts, volunteers from the “Regional Development” Public Union will also participate in the awareness-raising activities.
