Extensive cleaning works carried out in Baku on the eve of Novruz
Large-scale cleaning works were carried out in the capital on Saturday, March 14 under the motto “Let's meet Novruz with a clean city” in order to further improve the sanitary level of the city and take care of the existing greenery by the executive power of Baku on the eve of one of the most dear holidays of our people-Novruz. According to the press service of the Baku City executive power, the main streets and avenues, as well as intra-quarter and intermediate roads of the capital were washed with detergents harmless to plants and living things. Employees of the service carried out washing of avenues and streets, sidewalks, curbs and lampposts, roadside railings, seats in parks and recreation areas, cleaning works were carried out in courtyards and residential quarters. Showcases of public catering, trade and other facilities have been cleaned, and order has been created around them. The employees of the Baku City Greening Farm Association washed the trees on the sides of the main highways and avenues, softened the bottom of them, provided agrotechnical care for trees and green areas, and provided natural fertilizers. At the same time, colorful flowers were planted and compositions of flowers of different colors were created to please the residents of the city and guests of our capital. Landscaping and cleaning works carried out in the capital will be continued in connection with the summer season.
