Grand Novruz celebration in the capital
Novruz, the most dear and beloved holiday of our people, is celebrated with special enthusiasm and love in all corners of our country. This cherished holiday, which has been preserved since ancient times to this day, is also widely held in Baku.
In the new recreation park, which was recently opened by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva at the intersection of Vagif Avenue, Jeyhun Hajibeyli, Shamsi Rahimov and Nasib Bey Yusifbeyli streets near the metro station “Ganjlik” grandiose Novruz celebration was organized for residents by the management of the park and “Regional Development “.
In the festive mood, tents were installed in the colorfully decorated park, where samples of folk applied art were promoted, and paintings by young artists were demonstrated.The event was attended by riders in national costumes with national flags in their hands, Kosa and Kachal, Bahar girl, drummers, jugglers and players accompanied by camels.
During the event, along with popular art figures, dance groups performed on the stage installed in the center, jugglers showed their skills, and exemplary performances in zorkhana, wrestling, gymnastics took place on the sports ground.
At the same time, master classes on various fields were held in the tents, participants were presented baklava and tea. The main characters of Novruz, Kosa, Kechal and Bahar girl , cheered up those gathered and danced with the residents around the festive bonfire.
The festive event, which lasted throughout the day, caused great joy of the participants and created a festive mood.
