Mini football competitions in abad neighborhoods of the capital came to an end
Baku City Executive power, Regional Development Public Union and Baku City Youth and Sports Department jointly organized the inter-quarter mini football tournament covering Baku City districts dedicated to the 101st anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The main goal of the football competition, which is held among teenagers born in 2012-2013 and consists of 2 stages - district and City Stages, is to educate teenagers and young people in a healthy lifestyle and involve them in sports.
Mini stadiums were created within the framework of the project “Bizim həyət” which was started by Leyla Aliyeva, the founder and vice president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and was executed in communities throughout the capital.
The first round of the tournament ended until April 20 in the capital's districts, and then the winners of the regional tours competed at the Baku City Stage.
The tournament, organized with the participation of national judges, ended with the final matches on May 3. In the Final game, the “Bayil” team of Sabail district met the “flagship” team of Nizami district. The “Bayil” team of Sabail region, which won with a score of 3: 2, became the winner of the tournament.
In the competition for the 3rd place, “Lokbatan” team of Garadagh region won the “Garabagh” team of Khatai region with a score of 6 : 1.
The winners of the tournament were awarded with honorary diplomas and valuable gifts.
