New public beach opened for residents in Hovsan at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva
At the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, a new exemplary public beach has been opened for residents in the Hovsan settlement of the Surakhani district. Covering an area of approximately 5 hectares, this free recreation area is the seventh exemplary public beach created by the IDEA Public Union.
To ensure comfortable and safe recreation for residents, the beach areas have been equipped with rescue stations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, sunshades, changing cabins, showers, restrooms, gazebos, sun loungers, and waste containers. Playgrounds have also been installed and are fully ready for use.
To provide accessibility for persons with disabilities, special pathways and ramps have been constructed, allowing individuals with limited mobility to access the water and beach facilities without obstacles. Furthermore, the parking lot closest to the beach area has been designated for persons with disabilities with special markings.
Entrance to the beach area and all provided facilities are completely free of charge. IDEA’s exemplary public beaches aim to promote ecological and social responsibility in society.
It should be noted that, at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, neglected coastal areas in the capital's Shikh, Goradil, Novkhani, Buzovna, Pirshaghi, and Sahil settlements had previously been cleaned up and turned into exemplary public beaches. With the new beach opened in the Hovsan settlement, their number has reached seven.
Wishing everyone a pleasant vacation during the sea season, the IDEA Public Union calls on everyone to pay attention to the cleanliness of the shores, avoid polluting the environment, comply with water safety rules, and act cautiously while relaxing, in order to always enjoy the beauties bestowed by nature and the created conditions.
