New Trees Planted in Place of Damaged Ones in the Capital
As part of the cooperation memorandum signed between the Baku City Executive Power and the “Regional Development” Public Union, joint field inspections aimed at addressing existing shortcomings in the capital’s districts are continuing.
In a short period of time, employees of local executive authorities and volunteers from the “Regional Development” Public Union conducted monitoring in several districts of Baku to assess the condition of sidewalks, trees, and green areas. As a result, dried-out or damaged trees — broken due to strong winds or other natural causes — were identified, and it was decided to replace them with new trees.
In this context, volunteers from the “Regional Development” Public Union, together with staff from the Baku City Landscaping Department, organized a campaign to plant new trees along the streets in various districts of the capital where damaged trees had been removed. Over 100 damaged trees were uprooted, replaced with new ones, and provided with agro-technical care. Responsible individuals have been assigned to ensure proper maintenance and watering of these trees in the future.
These efforts will continue in other areas as well.
