Next tree planting action and cleanup day held in Baku
In accordance with the decree of the president of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev on declaring 2025 the “Year of Constitution and sovereignty” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, work is underway to increase green areas, restore ecological balance and protect the environment in Baku.In connection with the execution of the order and traditionally on the eve of Novruz, on March 15, a tree planting action was held in the Narimanov district of the capital with the joint Organization of Baku city Executive Power and “Regional Development” Public Union.
Within the framework of the action, trees and shrubs selected in accordance with climatic conditions were planted by employees of executive bodies and volunteers of the public union.
At the same time, on the eve of Novruz holiday, which is one of the most dear holidays of our people, an internal cleanup day related to cleanliness was held by the communal services of the capital on the day.Washing of avenues and streets, sidewalks, curbs and light poles, roadside railings, seats in parks and recreation areas was carried out by special equipment and employees of the service, and shop windows and other objects were cleaned by representatives of the private sector who joined the ICRC.
Employees of the Baku City Greening Farm Association washed the dust and soil collected on the trees on the sides of the main highways and avenues, softened their bottoms, pruned dried branches and provided agrotechnical care to green areas.
The landscaping and cleaning work carried out in the capital will continue.
