Next tree planting action held in Baku

On the occasion of September 27 – Memorial Day, a tree planting action was organized in Garadagh District of the capital on the side of the Baku-Alat road with the joint Organization of Baku City executive power and “Regional Development” Public Union. The action was attended by the leadership, employees and employees of structural units of the ICRC, as well as volunteers of the ICRC.
The participants cleared the territory of the action from useless waste and planted 500 new trees in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula.
The tree planting action is a continuation of the work done in Baku to plant drought-resistant plants, trees and shrubs suitable for the local climate, as well as to restore the ecological balance in the capital and beautify the territory.
It should be noted that irrigation issues were resolved and respondents were identified for future care of planted trees.
During the season, it is planned to continue the work on greening the city of Baku, caring for greenery and landscaping.
