Novruz celebrations are held in Abad neighborhoods of the capital
Novruz, the most dear and beloved holiday of our people, is celebrated in Baku. On this occasion, festive festivities and concert programs are organized in all districts of the capital. These festivities are distinguished by their massiveness. Novruz holiday was celebrated in the neighborhoods located in Nizami and Yasamal districts of the capital, created within the framework of the project “our yard” on the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva. Residents of the neighborhood, elders, members of the families of martyrs and veterans celebrated Novruz with a feeling of high Joy. Novruz sweets and fruits were laid out in khonjas along the courtyard, and the ladies treated the participants to our national dishes-pilaf and gutabs. An exhibition of handicrafts of pupils of the Child Development Center was organized. At the holiday, singers sang various songs, children in national costumes danced, athletes, jugglers and athletes showed their skills, and a fire show was shown. The main characters of Novruz, Kosa, Kechal and Bahar gizi, cheered up those gathered and danced with the residents around the festive bonfire. Children and participants fought eggs. It should be noted that in recent years, about 400 landscaped courtyards have been created in the capital and put into use by residents. On the eve of Novruz, Abad neighborhoods were festively decorated, tables with malt and Novruz sweets were laid, and a festive atmosphere was created.
