Novruz festivities continue in Abad neighborhoods of the capital
The beloved Novruz holiday is traditionally celebrated in our capital, Baku, as well as in all corners of our country. In this regard, festive festivities and concert programs were organized in all districts of the capital. These festivities were distinguished by their massiveness. Traditional festive events were celebrated in Bakikhanov settlement of Sabunchu District of Baku in the block created within the framework of the project “our yard” on the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva. Residents of the neighborhood, elders, members of the families of martyrs, veterans celebrated the holiday with a feeling of high Joy. At the holiday, Novruz attributes, samples of our national cuisine and clothes were demonstrated, groups of dancers, drummers and trumpeters showed their skills, singers sang various songs, Kosa, Kechal and Bahar gizi cheered up those gathered and danced with residents around the festive bonfire. Children and participants fought eggs. It should be noted that in recent years, about 400 landscaped courtyards have been created in the capital and put into use by residents. There are all conditions for recreation of residents here. On the eve of Novruz, Abad neighborhoods were festively decorated, tables with malt and Novruz sweets were laid, and a festive atmosphere was created.
