Novruz holidays in the Abad quarters are held in the capital
The most expensive and beloved holiday of our people, Novruz, is widely and enthusiastically celebrated in Baku. Festive celebrations and concert programs are organized in all districts of the capital on this occasion. These holidays are notable for their mass character.
Novruz holiday was celebrated in the neighborhoods located in Khatai and Yasamal districts of the capital, created within the framework of the “Our Yard” project on the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva.
Residents of the quarter, elders, family members of martyrs and veterans celebrated Novruz Bayram with a great sense of joy. At the celebration, singers performed various songs, tightrope walkers demonstrated their skills, the main characters of Novruz were a Scythe, a Bald Man and a Spring Girl cheered the audience and danced with the residents around the campfire.
It should be noted that in recent years, about 400 landscaped courtyards have been created and handed over to residents in the capital. On the eve of Novruz, festive tables were decorated in the Abad quarters, tables with malt and Novruz sweets were set, and a festive atmosphere was created.
