Restoration of mosaics continues in Baku
There are Mosaic compositions that adorn some buildings and parks in a number of districts of Baku and are one of the forms of historical and cultural heritage of our people. Unfortunately, due to the lack of proper attention to this form, in which folk applied art is widely used, there was a serious need to carry out restoration work on Mosaic compositions created in the XX century. In this regard, on the initiative of Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, work was carried out to restore the mosaic, which is a rare example of monumental art in many areas of Baku, and these mosaics have been restored in a number of addresses. The restoration work has already been completed in front of the enterprise located in Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Nizami district, and in front of the Surakhani railway crossing in Sattar Bahlulzade Street, Surakhani district. At present, work continues at other addresses. This project opens a new page in the cultural life of the capital, returning the lost Breath of time to the townspeople and future generations.
