The next city-wide cleanup day was held in Baku

In connection with the summer season, the Baku City Executive Power held another city-wide cleanup day and tree planting action in the capital on Saturday, April 20.
Baku City executive power has carried out washing of main streets and avenues with detergents harmless to plants and living beings.Employees of the service carried out washing of avenues and streets, sidewalks, curbs and light poles, roadside railings, seats in parks and recreation areas, and all this cleaning works were carried out in courtyards and residential quarters.
Employees of public catering, trade and other facilities, who joined the call of the Baku City Executive Power, also took an active part in cleanup day, cleaning the showcases of their facilities and creating order around them. At the same time, collectives of enterprises, institutions and organizations, residents of the city took an active part in this cleanup day.
The employees of the Baku City Greening Farm Association washed the dust and soil collected on the trees on the sides of the main highways and avenues, softened the bottom of them, provided agrotechnical care for trees and green areas due to the season, and provided natural fertilizers. At the same time, new trees, shrubs and flowers suitable for the Absheron climate are planted in the urban area, compositions of flowers of different colors are created, green areas and lawn cover renewal is carried out in parks.
Also, another tree-planting action was held in the Garadagh District of the capital with the joint Organization of the Baku City executive power and the “Regional Development” Public Union in connection with the implementation of President Ilham Aliyev's decree on declaring 2024 the year of solidarity for the Green world in the Republic of Azerbaijan. 400 new trees selected in accordance with local climatic conditions were planted in the action. Tree planting actions were also held in other districts of the capital.
All measures required to maintain the sanitary cleanliness of the capital at the required level and expand green spaces will be continued.
