Tree-Planting Campaign Dedicated to Remembrance Day Held in the Capital
A tree-planting campaign dedicated to September 27 – Remembrance Day was organized jointly by the Baku City Executive Power and the "Regional Development" Public Union. The campaign, held along the Salyan Highway in the Garadagh district of the capital, was attended by the leadership, employees, and structural unit staff of the Baku City Executive Power, as well as volunteers of the Public Union.
The area where the campaign took place was cleared of waste by the participants, and 500 new trees adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula were planted there.
The tree-planting campaign is a continuation of the work carried out in the city of Baku towards planting drought-resistant plants, trees and shrubs suitable for the local climate, as well as restoring the ecological balance in the capital and beautifying the area.
It should be noted that irrigation issues have been resolved, and responsible persons have been designated to ensure future care for the planted trees.
It is intended to continue the work related to the greening of the city of Baku, care for green areas, and landscaping throughout the season.
