Urgent measures are being taken on beaches
Taking into account the sharp increase in the number of people visiting Baku beaches for recreation on weekends, the Baku City Housing and Communal Services Department is taking urgent measures to clean the coastal areas.
According to the department, the number of waste containers on the beaches has been increased and new household waste sites have been built.
It was noted that cleaning workers have switched to an enhanced work regime on all beaches in Baku and are working around the clock. In addition, awareness-raising activities are being carried out among citizens visiting beaches for recreation, and information is being provided about the negative effects of waste thrown around on both human health and the ecological environment. The Baku City Housing and Communal Services Department once again appeals to residents and asks them to dispose of waste in designated special places.
