The Head of the Executive Power of Baku City
Azizov Eldar Aziz oglu was born on June 28, 1957 in Baku. In 1979, he graduated with honors from the History Department of the Azerbaijan State University named after M.S. Kirov. Since the same year, he worked at various responsible positions at the Azerbaijan Komsomol Central Committee.
Since 1984, he worked as the first secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the 26th district of Baku, and from 1987 - first secretary of the Baku City Committee.
Since 1989, he was elected secretary of the Central Committee of the Azerbaijan Komsomol. Since 1991, he worked as secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union of Azerbaijan.
In 1990, he was elected deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 1998 he headed the International Relations Department of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 1999 - First Deputy Chairman of the Department of Foreign Relations and Investment Programs of Baku City Executive Power, from March 2000 - Deputy Head of Baku City Executive Power.
Since June 2000 he was appointed Head of Nizami District Executive Authority of Baku City.
In 2003-2011 he was appointed as Head of Executive Power of Ganja City.
In 2011-2015 he was the head of the Executive Power of the city of Sumgait.
In September 2015 he was appointed as the head of the Executive Power of Sabail district of Baku city.
In July 2018, he was appointed deputy head of the Executive Power of Baku city.
By order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on November 15, 2018, he was appointed as head of the Executive Power of Baku City.
In 1980, he was awarded the Order "Badge of Honor" and in 2017, the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the 2nd degree.
Member of the Union of Journalists of Azerbaijan, author of the book "Difai" and more than 200 articles. Repeatedly elected a member of the Baku City Council of Deputies.
Married, has two children.
